Climb Every Mountain!!!

We just got back from our hike...here's a few pictures to share. We went with some friends in our ward and had a blast. We HAVE to do this hike together as a family. It was so beautiful and the hike wasn't too hard except for the heavy packs. It was one of the most scenic spots I've seen. It was fun to truly "rough it." There was a stream/river the entire hike which was very refreshing and fun. We saw a rattlesnake about 25 minutes on the trail, coiled and ready. We were able to see mountain goats, lizards, skunk (deceased), red vermillions, squirrels, and lots of bugs. It was so peaceful and nice to get out of the busyness of everyday life. The kids had a great time staying at grandma's house...thanks again mom and dad! Morgan asked me today if they could go back and stay but this time for 100,000 years. (everything these days is in that quantity for her...it make for a huge bowl of cheerios!)
I did fall once coming in...OUCH!
At the trail head...note the size of Blake's backpack compared! He's such a tough guy! =)

AARRGH...crikey!

Blake the boy scout! It was fun to be together on this one...usually I just get to hear about these adventures...it was fun to see Blake in his element!

It's SPRING!

This morning,Blake and the kids found this hummingbird nest in one of our citrus trees. It is the cutest, most intricate little thing. We've noticed a hummingbird in our barkyard a lot the last few weeks, and now she's made a home at 2201 S. Banning! The kids are beyond excited and ran out to look at the nest about 12 times today! We're trying to explain they need to leave it alone, luckily they haven't touched it yet-the mother is always nearby. We'll keep you posted on any new arrivals!

Easter 2009

Happy Easter!
I hope everyone had a great Easter weekend. It was fun this year with the kids a little older to understand even more. We took them to the Easter Pageant and Morgan was mesmerized. Here are a few pictures...I love you all!

Dad demonstrating how to blow an egg! He actually did it!

We made these deserts for FHE. You wrap dough around a large marshmallow, dip it in cinnamon sugar and butter and bake them. When they are done, the rolls are hollow, just like the tomb. The kids loved them, they were really yummy!

Easter bunny fun!

Here are a few pictures from out visit to Provo. It was such a great week spending time with Lara and Tyler and Grandma and Grandpa. We missed our Floridians though...so much!
Being at Grandma and Grandpa's home was as wonderful as ever and the kids had the best time there and playing with Lara and Tyler. Thanks for a great time! We love you!

Eye-Ball 2009

Hi family-
Seth and I had the opportunity to attend his annual Eye-Ball. It was at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood. I definetly felt like I was in Vegas once inside the hotel. When we arrived they had cucumber salad with peaches for the appetizer and whole wheat rolls. For the main coarse we had what seemed to be a whole chicken that was stuffed with a delicious stuffing. For dessert we had cheesecake and cherries. It was really good. After dinner they started the dancing. We danced for awhile, got our groove on :), and once everyone started getting a little tipsey we headed out. It was a very fun night. It was nice being able to get all dressed up and go out for a night out on the town. When you guys come to visit we will take you to some of the fun shops and restaurants they have outside of the hotel-a galleria type atmosphere. I have attached some pictures of us and Seth with some of his classmates. I love you all so much!!!!!
PS...Thank you Mom and Lara or the dress!!!!!!!
