Lunch date

Seth and I did a Mystery Guest lunch at The Cheesecake Factory on Tuesday. Unfortunately, Savea was in school so he was unable to come with us. So...Sayla treated mommy and daddy to lunch.

Sayla's first pedicure

Today I bought some nail polish to do my own french manicure and I just couldn't resist...I had to give Sayla a pedicure. Most of the paint ended up on her toes. Thank goodness for polish remover.

Happy 1 month!

Today Macie turned one month! I can't believe it's already been a month since our sweet little angle came to our family. We even celebrated with pazookies and sang happy birthday to her. :) I love making these little stepping stones a big deal. My friend gave me a pack of onesies that will fit her for a year and they come with stickers that you stick on the onesie so you can take a pic every month. So that's what she is wearing in the pic below. It'll be cool to have a picture of her in the same outfit every month for a year. 

She was two weeks in these pics. I was playing around one day with the camera and these are the pics I took. Definitely not professional but she gave me some cute expressions :) 

At her two week appointment, she weighed 8lbs 3oz and was 20in long. She's gotten even chunkier since then, it'll be fun to see what she weighs at her next appt. 

Scrapbooking start for Rudy

It was sure fun visiting with Michelle last night and learning some new tricks in Photoshop. She opened up so many options. Thank you Shell! Here are a few pages I've been working on. I am truly inspired to continue on and evolve what I am doing with my pages after seeing Michelle's pages. Michelle-I love how you make a journal entry on your pages...you are so creative! Thanks for sharing your ideas. Lara & Mom- we need to see your scrapbooking ideas also. :)

$.25 is a Great Motivator

The place where I do all my photo printing is having a special until the middle of April on all color printing. I've been busy trying to play catch up on my digi-scrapbooking to take part in this aswesome deal. I wanted to post some of the pages I've been working on...some are current, some are older. Rudy and I played on photoshop tonight and had a great time while our husbands are both out of town. She's going to post some too. hint...hint...Rudy!

Fun in the sun!

This was Sayla's first trip to the beach. She enjoyed it until we put her feet in the water. Here are a few pictures. We love you guys. (She is 4 1/2 months here)

When I asked Morgan if she wanted to take some pictures, she said, "Sure, Grandpa!" I set the camera to aperture priority, showed her how to compose and capture the image, and watched her step into the 'zone'. I was not expecting the quality and visual impact of the images she captured - I was blown away! I'm not sure who had the most fun - Morgan or Grandpa!

Mom or Dad?

We compared our baby pictures to Macie's to see who she looks like. We think she's a good mix but we want to know what you think! It's been fun comparing her features to ours... like she has my mouth but Tyler's nose, or my eyes and Tyler's feet. Some days I can totally see me in her and other days she's all Tyler. We still can't get over how cute she is! So....

She LOVES being wrapped like a burrito and sleeps so well this way. You can tell by this pic that she is out! She sleeps with her mouth open like this all the time, like her dad :)

Our Sweet Macie

Macie Kae Broadbent was born Tuesday Feb 22, 2011 at 1:14pm. She weighed 7lbs 12oz and measured in at 20in long. We couldn't have imagined loving such a perfect little angel as much as we do. We are so lucky to have her in our family and are excited to watch her grow. More pictures will come... We are too busy staring at her and enjoying her :) That probably won't end though!

"Major Leagues"

Savea was very nervous for his first b-ball game. But I think his excitement over powered his nervousness. On the way to his game he told us he felt like a major league player with his new uniform on. If the major leagues recruited based on a players love for this game, Savea would be at the top of their lists (thank you grandpa!). His teacher, Mrs. Leydig and her husband, came out to show their support. It meant so much to vea to have her rooting for him. Here is a brief clip of his exciting night as a "major leaguer." P.S.-His team won!
